Appraisal
Jersey type evaluation is not a program that “classifies” animals by comparing them to the “ideal Jersey.” Instead, it is a service that gives you unbiased information about the strengths and weaknesses of your cows.
Appraisal Application Deadlines & Late Fees
Areas will be appraised in the order listed. Applications must be received in the AJCA office at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the schedule. For example if your state is scheduled for September appraisal, the application must be in the office by August 1. Late applications may be scheduled only if deemed feasible, considering time, cost, and approval of the Executive Secretary. A $100 fee will be charged for changes/late additions to an appraisal schedule after distribution.
