Bull Selection +
Enter your list of preferred bulls. The search-sort-select features of BullsEye make it easy to find bulls that meet your needs and upload that list directly to start a JerseyMate run. When you do not specify bulls, the program will enter the bulls used for JerseyMate comparison mating (described below).
First and Second Mating Suggestions +
After weighing production, type and fitness values for matings of all bulls and all females, these suggestions are the two highest ranked matings to maximize herd profit. Inbreeding and the probability of JH1 and JH2 matings are factored into herd profit.
Corrective Mating Options +
This suggestion concentrates on the one trait that most needs improvement from among Foot Angle, Udder Depth and Teat Placement. The trait used is selected by comparing the PTA or PA to breed average.
JerseyMate Comparisons +
This mating comparison uses a selected group of bulls declared as being marketed for the most recent official CDCB evaluation (Active, NAAB code A; Foreign, F; and Genomic young sires, NAAB code G). Selection criteria are A and F bulls that meet or exceed the 50th percentile JPI of the G bulls, and the G bulls that meet or exceed the 70th percentile JPI of the G bulls.
